Marc Hirshman oversees a team of 20 professionals investing US Bank equity primarily in low income communities across the nation via investments in Historic, New Markets and Energy Investment Tax Credits. Over the last two years, this group has completed over 220 transactions and acquired over $1.4 billion in tax credits. Marc held positions, over the previous six years, in various real estate companies working in both the development and management of multifamily properties.

His interest in real estate was sparked after spending a year volunteering on a full-time basis with Habitat for Humanity in Georgia and North Carolina. In addition to current and previous service on the Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis board, Marc has served on the board of Central Reform Congregation, as a member of the following University City organizations - Economic Advisory Board, the Industrial Development Authority and TIF (member and Chair) Commissions, and is a graduate of the FOCUS Leadership class of 2004-05. Marc received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and finance from the University of Illinois and both his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation with academic honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Marc and his wife, Karen Handelman, have lived in University City since 1995. While at home, life is spent driving to gymnastics practices and meets and coaching softball for their two daughters - Abby (11) and Emily (8).
