Bob was born and raised in St. Louis. He attended St. Louis public schools and graduated from Washington University with a BA, BSBA and a MBA. He served in the military from 1962 to 1964. He was employed by the Union Electric Company (Ameren-UE) for over 36 years before retiring in 1997. During his career, he held a variety of positions including Treasurer, Vice President of Employee Relations and of Rate and Regulatory Affairs and Senior Vice President of Power Operations.
He has a long history of involvement in a wide variety of civic, community and church related organizations and activities. Among them include President of the Deaconess Hospital Board, the Deaconess College of Nursing Board, the Kirkwood R-7 Board of Education and the Kirkwood R-7 Foundation Board. He is a former member of the Eden Seminary Board. In addition to serving on the board of Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis, Bob is currently serving on the Emmaus Homes Foundation Board, the Kirk Care Board (a local food pantry), the Eden Finance Committee and Treasurer of his church.
He is married, has two children and four grandchildren, and has lived in Kirkwood since 1965.
