Where We Build

As our mission indicates, Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis builds simple, decent, and affordable housing in St. Louis City and County. In order to fulfill this goal, Habitat can and will build homes in any city, village, or community that is willing to work with us to improve both individual lives and entire neighborhoods.

Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis's service areas include the entirety of the City of St. Louis in addition to all of St. Louis County. To date, Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis has built or rehabbed over 325 homes.

In the city of St. Louis, we have built in:

  • College Hill (8 new homes, 1 re-hab)
  • Ville (14 new homes)
  • Heights (52 new homes)
  • Park (12 new homes, 2 re-habs)
  • JeffVanderLou (104 new homes)
  • Mark Twain (25 new homes)
  • Forest Park Southeast (11 new homes, 1 re-hab)
  • Old North St. Louis (29 new homes)
  • Carondelet (5 new homes)

In St. Louis County, we have built in:

  • Meacham Park (3 new homes)
  • Hillsdale (34 new homes)
  • Wellston (28 new homes)
  • Florissant (1 new home)
  • University City (5 new homes)

All of the neighborhoods in which Habitat for Humanity builds are considered to be "distressed communities" as well as being located in community develpment target communities.

Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis continuously looks for new neighborhoods both in St. Louis City and County for future developments and keeps an emphasis on underserved communities which is consistent with our mission to rebuild neighborhoods.
