1986 Saint Louis affiliate founded
1988 First home completed in College Hill
1997 Habitat ReStore opens to the public: New and used building materials are sold with proceeds benefiting HFHSL homebuilding mission
1998 HFHSL completes 50th home in the St. Louis community
1999 Habitat builds 19 homes, more than doubling the number of homes built any previous year
2001 Wellston Blitz builds 15 homes in 15 days
2001 Focus Saint Louis "What's Right with the Region" Award
2002 Habitat moves to new headquarters on Forest Park Avenue
2004 Hope Square (JeffVanderLou) Blitz Build: 20 homes under roof in 8 days in first contiguous build site
2005 Barge Build takes place on riverfront (houses sent downriver to New Orleans)
2008 HFHSL builds the country's third largest LEED Platinum-Certified development with 27-house build in the JeffVanderLou neighborhood
2008 Ladue News Charity Award
2009 Honored in the St. Louis Business Journal Heroes of the Planet Awards as Sustainable Alliance
2009 Selected as recipient of U.S. Green Building Council Saint Louis Chapter's Residential Growing Green Award
2009 The Home Depot Foundation selects HFHSL to receive Award of Excellence for Affordable Housing Built Responsibility
2010 Habitat celebrates its 300th house and kicks off year-long 25th Anniversary celebration
2010 The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, Inc. honors HFHSL with the Chairman's Award of Merit
