1. Construction Manual

This manual has been prepared by a subcommittee of the HFHSL Construction Committee. It is intended to serve as a guide for House Leaders and Crew Leaders during the construction of a HFHSL project. It is available on the HFHSL website.

As HFHSL builds several different styles of homes, instruction in this manual has been made generic enough that it can apply to all the homes being built. More specific information for a particular house can be obtained in the Build Book, blueprints, and details provided by the construction staff.

Drawings, construction details, and specifications provided by construction staff supercede this manual.

2. Keeping Your Construction Manual Current

Efforts are being made by the subcommittee to keep this manual current to the building techniques used by HFHSL. Feedback is encouraged to continue to make this manual an effective tool for those using it. Please provide a copy or fax to the construction manager with suggested changes or mistakes.
