Attend the line-up meeting with the Construction Coordinator, House Leader and Crew Leaders.

Ensure that the House Leader and Crew Leaders understand your role in the Work Site Safety Process

Engage the Construction Coordinator, House Leader and Crew Leaders in a dialog about the potential safety hazards to be considered during the day’s planned work.

Attend the Morning Safety Huddle with the Volunteers; briefing them on specific safety tips and cautions for the day’s activities.

Work as a partner with the Construction Coordinator in the Work Site Safety Process.

Wear an orange mesh vest

Serve as an Observer/Spotter when roofing work is being performed
-
Assure that Volunteers working at elevated locations have read and signed the Fall Protection training materials located on the storage container doors.

Use the Work site Safety Checklists to audit the safety conditions and practices at the work site.

Provide coaching as needed to House Leaders, Crew Leaders and Volunteers on safety issues.
-
Inspect tools for defects and hazards.Provide safety coaching to Volunteers on tool usage and safe work practices, when needed.

Tactfully correct unsafe work practices, when observed.
