HABITAT FRIENDS

9th Street Abbey Happy HourThrough the Habitat Friends organization, Habitat for Humanity hopes to build future leadership for Habitat; increase awareness of Habitat’s mission; enhance the volunteer database; and create an additional revenue source through membership dues and fundraising events.

Habitat Friends members enjoy a number of benefits including discounts on future Friends events, a coupon for a 10% discount at the ReStore, special Habitat Friends build days, and an online Habitat Friends e-newsletter.

In 2004, our inaugural year, Habitat Friends hosted the Have a Heart for Habitat kickoff party, several happy hours and a winery trip. This year we've continued the momentum with even more events and more reasons to get involved. Feel free to check out one of our events to see what we're all about, there is no reason why you can't support a worthy cause and have a great time all at once!

“We want to create an endowment made of people,” said Habitat Development Director, Courtney Pittman. “We plan to cast a wide net, reaching out to all St. Louisans but with a particular emphasis on young adults. Habitat Friends offers an affordable way to join the important mission of eliminating substandard housing in the St. Louis area.” Habitat for Humanity St. Louis is a not-for-profit, ecumenical housing ministry working in partnership with individuals and communities of all faiths to improve living conditions and provide affordable housing in the St. Louis community. To date, Habitat for Humanity St. Louis has built 185 homes in the St. Louis area. Habitat for Humanity St. Louis regularly ranks among the top Habitat for Humanity affiliates in the country.

Annual membership for Habitat Friends is $50 per person or $90 per couple. Membership fees sustain Habitat for Humanity St. Louis’ home ownership programs in the St. Louis area. Sign up here!
