rect_on.gif: On Cornerstone 2003 Winter: Attention Potential Sponsors

Attention All Potential Sponsors!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY ST. LOUIS HAS AN AGGRESSIVE GOAL TO BUILD 20 HOUSES IN 2004!
Why Sponsor a Habitat House?

Habitat for Humanity St. Louis is on a mission to eliminate substandard housing in the St. Louis metropolitan area. This year we were able to welcome 14 new Habitat families- the maximum number that our funding would allow. Next year we have set our sights on a blitz build- where volunteers and staff work eight days straight, followed by 6 to 7 Saturday build days-to erect 20 homes where just days before empty lots and dilapidated buildings stood. These "instant" communities often are the turning point for entire neighborhoods. Our proven formula for success is well established; we just need you-dedicated house sponsors!
For more information about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Habitat's Development Director Courtney Pittman at 314-371-0400, or email her at courtney@habitatstl.org, or visit the Partnering section of our website.
Sponsoring a Habitat for Humanity House Provides...
1 An avenue for publicity which enhances an organization or company's image in the community and expands customer bases through a demonstration of commitment to diversity and the community.
2 A chance for employees or group members to bond on the worksite, which translates to a friendlier and more productive workplace environment while boosting morale as members of your organization realize that they are contributing to the well being of their communities.
3 Reinforcement of community relations through interaction between members of your group and other people in the community. It offers a collaboration built on improved communication within an organization as well as between organizations.
4 The opportunity to utilize group problem-solving skills as well as the chance for developing group creativity and relationship-building experiences through networking with other people and integrating newcomers into a group or organization.
5 A means of revitalizing a community by adding new life to a neighborhood and helping a deserving family to realize their "American Dream!"
