 Although our Wednesday and Friday crews work year round, our Saturday workdays are determined by our Construction Manager based on our construction work schedule and the prework necessary to prepare the site for construction to begin. Our Spring Pre-Build Saturdays in the JeffVanderLou neighborhood will begin in March. We plan to do footings and foundations through subfloors by July 10. Volunteers who have attended an orientation can sign up for Saturday assignments by contacting Volunteer Coordinator Vinita Ledesma. Volunteers with previous Habitat experience are invaluable!

We also will work every day July 10 through July 17. We are looking for weekday volunteers July 12–16 and will schedule them first. Perhaps you can take a vacation day or community service day! Let us know when you are available so we can schedule work dates. Group Volunteers (limited to groups of 10-15 volunteers) must sign a worksheet to schedule a workday with the volunteer coordinator well in advance of the desired work date. Workdays will not be held on the following holiday weekends:
- Good Friday/ Easter weekend
- Memorial Day weekend
- 4th of July weekend
- Labor Day Weekend

Wanted: Volunteers
We appreciate the flexibility, patience and caring of our volunteers and realize their interest to serve --doing whatever is necessary. As we prepare for our Build in 2004 we will offer opportunities for volunteers for some "non-site" volunteer opportunities!
Do you have auto mechanic skills?
Keeping our vehicles working efficiently is a new area we would like to explore.
Do you have construction skills and like working with people and teaching others?
We need teachers for our Construction Leadership training classes and our Homebuyers Construction 101 classes.
Do you have a workshop in your basement that you want to put to use?
We want to explore creating kits (bird houses, planters, etc.) for youth to put together to help Habitat. We also need a donation of wood for this project.
Do you like working with high school students?
We would like someone to help work with the students and their need for community service, senior projects, etc., helping educate the schools about our needs and limitations, orienting students, helping them document their work hours, assigning them specific tasks throughout their workdays, and validating their work for their schools.
Do you have small engine skills? We need someone to repair and maintain our many tools this winter.
