Wanted: Volunteers

We appreciate the flexibility, patience and caring of our volunteers and realize their interest to serve --doing whatever is neces-sary. As we prepare for our Build in 2004 we will offer opportunities for volunteers for some “non-site” volunteer opportunities!

Do you have auto mechanic skills?
Keeping our vehicles working efficiently is a new area we would like to explore.

Do you have construction skills and like working with people and teaching others?
We need teachers for our Construction Leadership training classes and our Homebuyers Construction 101 classes.

Do you have a workshop in your basement that you want to put to use?
We want to explore creating kits (bird houses, planters, etc.) for youth to put together to help Habitat. We also need a donation of wood for this project.

Do you like working with high school students?
We would like someone to help work with the students and their need for community service, senior projects, etc., helping educate the schools about our needs and limitations, orienting students, helping them document their work hours, assigning them specific tasks throughout their workdays, and validating their work for their schools.

Do you have small engine skills?
We need someone to repair and maintain our many tools this winter.
