Special Events Committee

Love attending our Habitat Special Events? Or just enjoy working behind-the-scenes to make things happen? Consider joining the Habitat Special Events Committee!

The Special Events Committee has recently been reorganized and restructured to make sure everyone can be involved in exactly what they like about the events process. In addition to our monthly meetings, we have 3 subcommittees on which you can serve.

Hospitality Subcommittee
  • Specifically for those who want to be "Greeters" and those that want to participate in registration at events.
  • Also help with select events not planned by the special events committee but needing help with greeting and "hostessing" duties during event. Check ins, Collecting coats, passing out drinks, etc.
  • Should articulate basic information about HFHSL if needed.
Auction/Solicitation
  • This committee works on solicitation for auction items and other event needs.
  • Include Cataloging/Organization of all donated items.
  • Seek out corporations/churches/other groups that have charity committees.
Volunteer Committee
  • Plans and executes specific roles for the day of each event like set up, break down, etc.
