What does it cost to construct a house? TThe minimum amount for sponsorship of an entire house is currently $65,000, although we have varying sponsorship levels (make this a link to the sponsorship level page) ranging from $5,000 to over $100,000. We also are looking for industry professionals willing to donate their materials and/or labor for sponsorships as well. Each sponsorship value determines how many build days you receive. Along with your build days, you also receive recognition on signage on our site, as well as post build ads in the Post dispatch, St. Louis Business Journal and St. Louis American publications. How many people does it take to construct a house?
It generally takes an average of 15-20 volunteers (depending on the task) working each build day to complete a Habitat House. Typically, it will take a total of 14-16 build days to completion. Build days are scheduled every day of the week except for Sunday. What assistance does Habitat for Humanity provide the build partner in constructing a home?
| Habitat for Humanity has full and part-time construction staff that orders all the materials, handle the inspections and schedule subcontractors. Construction staff is also at the site on Saturdays to coordinate the day's activities. When a partnering organization needs assistance in providing volunteers, the affiliate can also assist in that capacity. |
