Once again, Habitat for Humanity St. Louis was blessed to have been able to celebrate the holiday season with our partner families. We all gathered at Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church for an opportunity to round out the year together. This year, the families enjoyed a carnival theme that included various carnival games and inflatables for both children and adults. The parents and children held several relay races through the obstacle course, with the kids winning 99% of the races. There also were numerous space basketball tournaments held, where all participants were able to show off their skills and earn a ribbon.

As a group we enjoyed light refreshments, holiday music and of course an appearance by Santa. It was a wonderful experience to witness the kids as their eyes lit up watching Santa enter the room and pass out presents. As usual, the party was a big success. Everyone left with smiles on their faces, and snacks in their bellies There were prizes for everyone, and fun was had by all. We want to send a special thanks to Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church staff and congregation for their unwavering support and assistance. We also would like to send a special thanks to all Family Support Committee members who helped organize and volunteered, contributing to the success of this event. We hope to see you at the 2007 Christmas festivities.
