New Venue...we're now at the Chase!

Our annual Harvest Homecoming Dinner and Auction is right around the corner. Because of the wonderful support of this event we have outgrown our previous space and will be moving. This year’s event will be held in the beautiful Khorassan Room at the Chase Park Plaza on Friday, October 19, 2007.

Harvest Homecoming allows Habitat to recognize the selfless dedication and commitment of individuals, corporations and organizations in our community who share in our vision to make St. Louis a better place to live and work. Carol Daniel of KMOX-News/Talk 1120 will once again serve as the mistress of ceremony for this wonderful event.

We Need Your Donated items

Our volunteers and community supporters have always been our greatest assets when it comes to our auction and we need your help again this year. The Special Events committee needs new and unique items for the silent auction portion of this event. We are in need of items that will enable us to offer:

• Trips to wonderful destinations such as airline tickets, Condo stays, and dinner certificates
• Event tickets (Sports, Theatre, Concert)
• Restaurant Certificates
• Corporate items
• Jewelry
• Memorabilia
• Unique opportunities (Plane rides, “A day with…..”, etc...)
• Gift Baskets

We can always use Gift Baskets and groups of fun items to put together to create a grouping. We are hoping for help in this area from some of our volunteers that are part of church and social groups who get together and create things for charity events. Examples would be: Quilts, Holiday baskets, Culinary Baskets (Italian, Asian…).

Sporting Memorabilia is a large part of our auction. It is the section of the auction that brings in the Big Bucks. We could use autographed items from any major Sporting Team, Certificates for Golf from local Golf Courses (or Golf in other cities), and any kind of memorabilia that you are willing to part with.
