To Habitat for Humanity and whom it may concern:  Since my daughter and I have moved into this house we have fast made it our home.  We have found a new sense of independance and freedom here, my daughter has fallen in love with her room and the grounds surrounding the house.  She loves it.  I love it.  I didn't think that I would, but I have, and I have every intention on closing on this house in December, if permitted to.  After everything that went into the build of this house I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Respectfully,

Osanese Spraggins

Dear Kimberly and staff, Saba and I would like to thank you and your staff for all the planning and building of our beautiful home.  It was your staff to help make this possible and we appreciate all you have done for us.  We are so happy and are busy fixing up the inside and keeping it nice.

Sincerely,

Megbey and Saba

I, Sharon Ivory am requesting to have ownership of my home that I built with the leadership and help of United Churches of Christ.  My home is located at 1412 Temple Place, St. Louis, MO 63112.  I am truly blessed and highly favored by the Lord Jesus Christ to have been picked by the Habitat for Humanity Staff for a home.  You all have increased my joy, happiness, security, success and self-esteem to reach an all time high and I thank you!  The Habitat program helps families realize the American dream and rebuilt communities as well as being about a sence of pride for the city as a whole. Everyone who is associated with this program is blessed wether they know it or not, or appreciate it or not.  Please release the deed to my house in my name.  I will be getting maried on Saturday, May 19, 2001.  My new last name will be Cox.  My family and me will conitnue to keep Habitat for Humanity of St. Louis in our prayers.  Once again a thousand thanks and God bless.

With deepest regards

Sharon Ivory

On behalf of the Boyle family, I truly would like to thank you for making my dream come true.  When I heard about Habitat, I was thinking about signing up, but I wasn't sure.  But then I went ahead and took a chance and I'm glad I did.  When they called me and let me know my name was picked I shouted all through the house.  I couldn't wait to pick up a nail and hammer.  I called and told everybody I knew.  Friends and family put in so many hours and they came out and helped me.  I truly thank God for people like you because you came in my life and helped me make my dream come true.  There aren't enough words to explain how I feel, but my family thanks you very much and the other people that gave me this dream home.  When I think of all the hard work and hours I put in it, it was well worth it.  To all of you, all I can pay you is a thank you.  You all gave me a chance when nobody else would.  You depend on me and I put myself and family trust in you.

Yours truly,

Angela Boyle and family

"Thank you".  These are two very small words which are usually used to express a feeling of appreciation.  They are said so often that they in themselves become words taken for granted.  So how do we tell you the feelings in our hearts, the shaking of our spirits, and the rumbling of our souls as the smiles continue on our faces from morning to night to morning again.  These are all the emotions we enjoy now every day of our lives.  For surely our prayers were heard and through loving, kind, tender and sweet individuals they were answered.  Jesus said freely give and we would give back to you pressed down, shaken together and running over.  Well, the pressing was hard, the shaking was rough, and the running over is beautiful.  Believe us, we are taking nothing for granted.  We are more than appreciative of every inch of our home for it is our happiness for ever after.  It is our day after the night.  It is our springtime after a long hard winter season in our lives.  And you, yes all of you are the rain drops and dew and the bright sunshine and of coarse the sweet and cool slight breeze in this day of our life.  So from the bottom of Angelica Louise Hardin McCallum Tiarra from Chisca Hard McCallum and Ms. Daisy R. Hardin a very precious "Thank you" for a fresh start for we were just waiting to exhale.

To Kimberly and the entire staff of Habitat for Humanity:  I had no idea how to begin this letter so I'll start with THANK YOU in every language that exists.  I knew that one day I would be writing a letter like this, I just had no idea when or to whom.  I always knew I wanted my own house to be my home, I just never imagined I would get much more.  Habitat for Humanity has been a true blessing in our lives.  Words spoken from the mouth, words written on paper could never never express the joy in our hearts. As I write this letter my eyes are filled with tears, my heart with joy, my hands are sweating and I feel a little flushed just thinking about the day I was asked if I had called Habitat for Humanity and thinking about all experienced with them.  I've gone through some good and not so good moments, but would not change one thing!  My family is lucky to have had the opportunity to help build our home.  We're so thankful for the people we met, the skills we learned and the work we did.  I wouldn't have wanted to purchase a home any other way.  It is with much joy to let Habitat for Humanity know that Marlisa Jones, Anton Myer and Tommie Robinson would love to purchase the home at 1444 Blackstone Ave only.  This home is so a part of us.  I don't know if I can explain it or if you even understand it, but I speak so highly about Habitat to everyone I know.  For all that they do, have done and will continue to do with the help of myself and many others.  I could write about Habitat for a very very long time, but I know there isn't time.  I would just like to thank you to know my family and I feel as though we have truly been touched by angels.  I know the Habitat staff have some idea of what you have done for my family and others, but if feelings could be seen, my God the shock you would get.  May God bless any and everyone who knows what the words Habitat for Humanity really means.
