Hamilton Heights neighbors welcomed Sharon C. and her family, oblivious that she would come to bring love, joy, serenity and encouragement to every home she touches. Sharon's family, together with their sponsor group, United Churches of Christ, produced a home that seeks God's will in every action.

During the 1999 summer build, these two groups of strangers created a bond that will never be broken. After three years there is still open communication and continuous interaction. For instance, Sharon regularly speaks at the various churches that collaborated in the interest of her new home.

Presently, she works a full-time job and is enrolled in her second semester of college working toward a bachelor's degree in ministry. She volunteers as the chaplain for the neighborhood block unit and helps out within her home church.

She does all of this while still maintaining a household with three sons and a new husband. Her family is able to maintain the closeness that's needed for success and prosperity in their lives through continuous communication and weekly family prayer.

They also try to plan at least two major house projects per year, choosing ones that they can work on together to accomplish. Even with this tight schedule, Sharon manages to stay grounded through holiday visits with neighbors and special outings with close friends.
