2011 Winner

On behalf of Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis staff and volunteers, we would like to announce the winner of the 2011 Joe F. Castagno (JFC) Construction Leadership Award as Henry Dayringer. Henry was awarded this honor at the 2011 Construction Leadership Kickoff Dinner on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Orlando Gardens Banquet Facility in Webster Groves/Kirkwood.

Henry Dayringer joined the ranks of Habitat volunteers in the mid-1980′s. In 2001, he started house leading for the West County Churches sponsor group. Prior to retiring, Henry dedicated his Wednesdays during the summer months to volunteer on the Habitat build site. Now retired, Henry volunteers on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays year round. His attention to detail is any homebuyers dream in a house leader, his dedication to the Habitat mission means sacrificing for others, and his ability to grow and develop his construction leadership skills are an example to all construction leaders. Henry always steps up to the plate whenever asked!

The JFC Construction Leadership Award was established to show appreciation and thanks to the dedicated construction leaders who help make the Habitat build successful each year. Leaders are rated on their leadership skills, site management/mentorship, dedication to the role and organization, and on being an Ambassador for Habitat.
