Volunteers are needed both on and off the construction site. There are numerous ways in which you can help with the effort to create affordable housing. On-site: Construction Volunteers - Skilled or unskilled people can learn by working, or can lead tasks on the site. Construction volunteers must attend the Orientation and may sign up for available build dates, become a member of the Monday Crew, Wednesday Crew, or Friday Crew, or sign up with Women's Build. Construction Leaders - Skilled or interested volunteers may become part of Habitat' s volunteer leadership as Crew Leaders, House Leaders, Task Leaders, or Site Safety Observers. Non-Construction On-Site Volunteers - Opportunities for On-Site Administrators, Nurses / EMT Personnel, and Photographers are available immediately for those who want in on the action at the Build Site, but not in actual construction. Off-site: For every hour a volunteer spends on site, there are approximately ten hours spent in preparation by staff and volunteers. Activities include publicizing, organizing, selecting and supporting homeowners, dealing with legal and real estate issues, and planning the construction projects. Serving on Committees Volunteers Wanted
