As a Project Manager with HOK, and 30 years of experience providing quality design and management services for a variety of project types including federal, recreational, healthcare, correctional, commercial, corporate, hospitality, residential, retail and education, Barb has expertise in project service delivery, client communications, organizational planning, quality assurance.
Barb is involved in numerous industry related organizations. Barb is currently serving as President of the American Institute of Architects, St. Louis Chapter, after having served as the volunteer speaker’s bureau chair and member of the board. In addition, Barb has been involved in the USGBC Missouri Gateway Chapter since 2005, serving as the volunteer speaker’s bureau chair, advocacy committee chair, board member and board secretary. Barb is currently serving on the HOK Firmwide Diversity Advisory Council, City of St. Louis Energy Benchmarking Advisory Group and will serve on the St. Louis Women’s Foundation Development Committee.
A graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Barb is both a Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction and carries a certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. She is also a licensed architect in Missouri and Illinois.
Barb lives in Edwardsville, Illinois with her husband Dwight and enjoys spending time with the 6 children they have between them, who live from NY to CA.
