Doris C. Agwu grew up in Wichita but decided to leave Kansas for Missouri after high school to attend the University of Missouri – Columbia. She holds a Master’s in Public Health, a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, a Bachelors of Arts in Biology, and a Business Minor from MIZZOU. After her undergraduate career, Doris was a Research Specialist for the University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing for 2 years, and then she went on to become the Medical Department Chair of another college in Columbia for 4 years. After some encouragement, she moved into the banking industry and worked in training for Landmark Bank. Shortly after, a job offer from U. S. Bank would move her from Columbia to St. Louis where she would become a Vendor Management Business Analyst.
In her free time, Doris enjoys attending sporting events and concerts. Additionally, Doris is extremely passionate about giving back to the community. She is an active member of the St. Louis Chapter of The Links, Incorporated where she serves as the Co-Chair of various committees and facets. She is a member of the Board of the St. Louis Chapter of the MIZZOU Alumni Association where she serves as the Scholarship Chair and is also a member of the Board of the MIZZOU Black Alumni Network. At U. S. Bank, she is the Communications Officer on the Board of the Virtual Chapter of the African American Business Resource Group. Through her work in various organizations, Doris prides herself on understanding that true leadership is ultimately servant-hood, so she welcomes any opportunity to serve her community.
