Jeffrey St. Omer has represented a wide variety of education-related clients throughout Missouri. Prior to joining Lewis Rice, Jeff served as the General Counsel for the Kansas City, Missouri School District. Currently, he serves as the outside General Counsel to the Special Administration Board of the St. Louis Public School District. Jeff’s experience working with education institutions includes negotiating labor agreements with the largest teacher union in Missouri, coordinating teacher and non-certified dismissal, coordinating district responses to student discipline matters, responding to teacher and student civil rights matters, conducting license revocation hearings before the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal legislation.
Jeff is a member of the National School Boards Association-Council of School Attorneys, the Missouri School Board Association-Council of School Attorneys, the Missouri Bar Labor and Employment Committee, and the American Bar Association. Jeff received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Tuskegee University and both his J.D. and M.A. in Education Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Jeff lives in Kirkwood with his two sons (Jacob and Justin).
