Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis offers potential homebuyers access to an affordable mortgage tailored to those whose living at or below 80% of the area median income. This allows the buyers to build their assets while also cycling funds to their family and partner communities for generations.

Habitat Saint Louis homebuyers are required to complete a minimum of 250 hours of “sweat-equity” per signer. The hours are earned by helping to build the house they will purchase and live in, as well as the houses of other people who are participating in our program. Sweat equity is also earned by participating in family-centered workshops on personal finances, home maintenance, being a good neighbor, health and fitness, and other related topics.
