Are you planning a major remodel or demolition? Before you start filling that construction dumpster with reusable and recyclable materials, check Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis ReStore’s deconstruction service! Our team of staff and volunteers carefully work to remove reusable materials such as appliances, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, and more from your property. The homeowner receives a donation receipt for all of the items removed, and the items are then sold at our ReStore. Proceeds from the sale of your donated items help fund our home building efforts in St. Louis City and County.
Contact Damon Gunthrie to discuss your project and schedule a walk-through of the property. After an assessment of the property, and prior to the beginning of deconstruction, the ReStore deconstruction crew will provide a suggested monetary donation to the donor. This donation assists the ReStore in covering the costs of tools, staff, and transportation for the deconstruction process. Typically, the suggested donation begins at $250 and may be adjusted depending on the items to be removed, travel distance from our warehouse to the location, and the need for special tools and safety equipment. The donor is not required to provide this donation to the ReStore, but the additional funds ensure that we can continue to offer this service to the metropolitan community and at the same time, serve local hard-working families.
