Marc Hirshman is the President of Twain Financial Partners. Twain Financial provides creative capital solutions that span the entire capital structure from Debt to Equity in order to further its clients’ potential in an ever-changing environment. The firm is also a third-party Fund Manager for 500+ investments worth a total aggregate value over $3.5 billion within the Public-Private Partnership sector.
Previously, Marc was a Senior Vice President and member of the Senior Leadership Team at US Bank Community Development Corporation, managing, at various times, teams responsible for origination, asset management and syndication of all four of the major tax credit asset classes. Over the 12 years at US Bank Community Development Corporation, Marc was instrumental in growing the company from 8 employees to over 230 employees and over $10B in assets.
Within the tax credit industry, Marc has served on the boards of both the New Markets Tax Credit and Historic Tax Credit Coalitions. Marc held positions, over the previous six years, in various real estate companies working in both the development and management of multifamily properties. His interest in real estate was sparked after spending a year volunteering on a full-time basis with Habitat for Humanity in Georgia and North Carolina. Continuing his involvement in St. Louis he has served on the boards of numerous housing and economic development organizations and committees at the municipal level. Marc received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and finance from the University of Illinois and both his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation with academic honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
