The numbers are in… and our Habitat Saint Louis families had the most AMAZING holiday season all thanks to our generous community!
Every year, Habitat Saint Louis coordinates an Adopt A Family Program for Habitat homeowners who may need extra assistance around the holidays. This year, our community showed us so much love that we were able to adopt all of the families in our program and even families who were not a part of our homeownership program!
Habitat Saint Louis partnered with 48 families (yes, you read that right!) to ensure they had the perfect holiday. Habitat volunteers and staff worked together to set-up Santa’s Workshop which allowed our partner families to shop (for free!) for donated toys and gifts to spread the holiday cheer. Of the 48 families, 10 families were not Habitat homeowners, but residents of Dutchtown, Bevo Mill, and Spanish Lake—all areas Habitat Saint Louis has served and continues to serve.
Over 100 toys and clothing items were purchased on Habitat’s Target Gift Registry. These items were purchased by Habitat Saint Louis staff and board members, friends and family of the staff and homebuyers and also many folks who donated anonymously. Our Santa Workshop was a huge success because S.M. Wilson and Body Balance Chiropractic staff and clients helped facilitate a gift drive on our behalf.
Habitat Saint Louis also received 30 bicycles from CliftonLarsonAllen Wealth Advisors, which truly was a sight to see.
